1. Who we are

Wheelie Bin Cleaning Southport (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website https://wheeliebinclean.uk/ (the “Site”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information when you voluntarily submit it to us, for example through the contact form on our Site. This may include:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your address (if provided, e.g. to arrange a bin cleaning service)
  • Any other information you choose to include in your message

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and our services are intended for adult customers.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and requests for quotes
  • Arrange and provide our wheelie bin cleaning services
  • Keep records of correspondence and bookings
  • Send you information about your booking or service (not marketing, unless you’ve agreed to this)
  • Comply with our legal and accounting obligations

4. Our legal basis for processing

We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Consent — when you submit the contact form, you are consenting to us using your details to respond to you
  • Legitimate interests — to run and improve our business, respond to enquiries, and maintain business records
  • Contract — where processing is necessary to provide a service you’ve booked

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Trusted third parties who help us run our business (e.g. email or hosting providers), who are only permitted to use your data to provide services to us
  • Authorities where we are required to by law

We do not transfer your data outside the UK unless a service provider we use requires it, in which case we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected — typically for the duration of our business relationship with you, plus a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping and legal purposes (generally up to 6 years, in line with standard accounting requirements).

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data

Payments

  • Recurring plans are paid by Direct Debit. You will be given advance notice of each collection in line with the Direct Debit Guarantee (HSBC).

We do not see or store your full card details or bank details. If a payment fails we may pause
your service until it is resolved.

 Preparation for our visit

So that we can clean your bin, on your scheduled day:

  • the bin must be accessible from the front of the property, not behind a locked gate;
  • the bin must not contain anything hazardous, or waste that is not ordinary household or
    commercial refuse.

Changes to your collection day

Council collection days can move, particularly around bank holidays. If yours changes, tell us
through our contact form or call us and we will adjust your schedule.

Unhappy with our service?

If a clean is not up to standard, tell us within 7 days and we will re-clean the bin at no
charge. If we cannot put it right, we will refund that clean.
